Artists on the street #1
Paris is the city where you can bump into musicians, performers, painters, dancers on the street anytime, anywhere. Some of them do it because they hope some pocket money out of it, but some of them do it just for the fun. I am not sure about this group, but they are good. One day last autumn I was walking on the quay next to the Louvre (upstairs) and I heard the trumpet coming from somewhere close. I looked down through the chestnut leaves and there they were. Young, enthusiastic and talented.

Pont d'Arcole
This bridge is not far from Notre Dame de Paris. I like the dynamism of this picture, with the bird, the walking people, the wind.. The bridge was built between 1854 and 1856. It was innovative of its time as it is the first unsupported bridge across the Seine. In the background you can see Île Saint-Louis.
